We are a referral centre, which means that all the animals we see are referred to us for a second opinion by vets in general practice.

We cannot offer advice about the treatment of any animal without examining the patient, considering its medical history, and making a diagnosis.

If you are considering referral for diagnostic tests or specialist treatment at Martin Referrals, we must therefore ask that you discuss this with your own vet first. It is a routine discussion in human medical care, and you should not be afraid to ask the same for your pet.

Being a specialist veterinary practice, people often bring their pets to us from all over the UK, even from abroad.
